Description of the activity

Simultaneously, dancing, carrying, being carried, and at the same time, becoming lighter.
What does it mean to be light?
How can one create their own lightness?
How is lightness created or invented for a performer?
What would the tool of lightness be for a dancer?
Where does lightness reside in the body?
Is lightness a muscle, a bone?
Can one make oneself light?
Light for me?
Light for the other?
Can one have intentions of lightness?
Technically, what does it demand of a dancer?
What kind of experience?
What intensity?
Lightness as an intention, as a connection to oneself and to others?

My proposal aims to be transversal, spanning experimentation, invention, reflection, and the development of a thought process that can resonate and embody itself. I wish to encourage autonomy in learning, discovery, and the development of new perspectives, perhaps even offering a different approach to improvisation, composition, and technical practice.

Secretly, I wish to attempt to deconstruct the specificity of the carrier/carried relationship and what the work of "porté/contact" represents—its spectacularity and its "mandatory passage." Shifting from alternation to simultaneity.

I hope this work can exist as a fundamental practice and as access to what could be "dancing alone." "What comes before." In fact, through its intensity, complexity, and the exploration of certain states (listening, fatigue, relaxation), it fosters for the performer the emergence of a form of lightness (for oneself and for others), of otherness (shared resonance), promoting intention, interaction, surprise, and perhaps even lift-off.

Drawing from the intensity of this experience, building oneself personally and intimately, and perhaps approaching one's practice differently—being able to simultaneously dance, carry, be carried, improvise, compose, memorize, learn, dance, improvise, be carried, compose, dance, carry, simultaneously, dance, dance, transform, learn, simultaneously, carry, fall, be carried, be carried, compose, stage, simultaneously, copy, do nothing, dance, do nothing, do nothing, dance, dance, dance, simultaneously, be, resonate, simultaneously... at the same time...

Imparted by

Pierre-Michaël Faure

Trained in classical dance from a young age (Conservatory of Perpignan, Marseille Opera School), he chose to pursue contemporary creation. For over 25 years, he has developed a career as a performer, working with various choreographers such as Régine Chopinot, Jackie Taffanel, Sylvain Huc, and Sylvie Balestra.

In the last 15 years, transmission and research have taken a central place in his work, steering him towards the exploration and pedagogy of contemporary dance.
