Description of the activity

The goal of these trainings is to find a body that is available, instinctive and intuitive, open to dialogue.

The methodology travels between play, body exploration, the use of complex rhythmic patterns and the execution of choreographic sequences, combined with elements of flamenco, release, flying low, floorwork, contact and martial arts, among others.

During each session, the body will move through different widths of space, playing with tonicity, weight, energy, musicality and the relationship with the environment. We will emphasize the intention with which the body expresses itself, letting the emotion arise as a consequence of the body in movement.

Imparted by

Daniel Rosado

Dance as a place of thought and reflection, where to accept the oddities that a body inhabits and allow them.

I understand life as a constant scenic act, full of constructions and aesthetic forms where you locate yourself, they locate you, you find yourself. I take the concept of identity as the driving force for my creations, due to the amount of controversies it generates. In this conflict, I observe what I call "invisible identity", one that questions normality and makes us review our values. The same one that we repress and the one that protects us when we feel misunderstood.

I believe in the power of body communication. I move and give shape to what does not have it, naming new references. On a day-to-day basis, I put my body at the service of dance. I plan the practices, the trainings and I am in charge of the direction of the Lamajara Collective. I like to play because it is a constant transformation of what was, is or could have been. As a choreographer I like to use those social aspects that move me. Search for new references from popular culture that shoot me to new creative universes. Reviewing the memory from those stories that are not written but are in the daily imaginary. And from there, redefine forms "as if a flamenco animal dressed as a flamenco".
