I am currently in the process of researching on an open field of interest that has to do with proprioception to think-experiment the movement. Working with Its somatic language, and its appropriation and deployment toward otherness and space action, can be a ground for rethinking, unbalancing, or interrelating a situated perspective. Both in the moving body and in the philosophical issues it generates. I propose an active professional training to work from intuition and improvisation towards formal issues and to look at the form as an opportunity to concretize sensations, imaginary, presence, and awareness.

Laura Vilar

Laura Vilar, dancer, choreographer, teacher and researcher, interested in the encounters between theory and practice, is currently doing a doctorate program in Artistic Research at the UAB. She is a member of the teaching team for the UAB Degree in Philosophy and the University Master's Degree in Artistic Research and Design, EINA-UAB. She co-directs nunArt, an artistic research center in Barcelona, and is part of the Department of Dance Pedagogy at the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona, where she teaches different subjects. She has been director of the Professional Training of the Area dance school since 2017. She has taught nationally and internationally in different art centers such as: CODARTS Rotterdam, Saineb Dance Istanbul, Linz Anton Bruckner University, nunArt, Area, Varium, La Caldera , among others. As a professional dancer she has worked in companies such as: Compagnie Taffanel based in Montpellier (2003-2010) Compagnie Cobosmika (2006-2013), with which she worked internationally with the company of Russell Maliphant. And others: Hermanas de Castro, Trànsit de Maria Rovira. (2000-2001), La Inconnexa by Anna Sánchez. (2002-2003) Lanònima Imperial directed by Juan Carlos García. (2004.) Comedians, by Joan Font. Salvatge Cor, theater-dance company of the poet Albert Roig, 2006-2008. Dance Theater of Ireland, by Robert Connor and Loretta Yurick in the production of Handle with care, 2010. As a creator, she has presented various pieces, such as Sanjiao, (2018), Voyager (2019) and is currently working on Tentativas de (des) appearance: performance between_about_from a doctoral thesis, in residence at Im_Flieger, Wien, (2021-2022).
