Cycle of Intensives: The Art of Movement: Dance and the Nervous System
This workshop cycle will focus on three key themes for understanding the body and the nervous system through movement. We will begin by exploring the embryological foundations of movement, leading to a deeper understanding of human development. In the second meeting, we will dive into the regulation of the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems, and how these systems influence our life patterns. Finally, in the third session, we will address the regulation and dysregulation of the nervous system, learning tools to stabilize ourselves and find our balance through movement.
Our goal is to offer a space where we can reconnect with our essence through the body, using the nervous system as a metaphor to live fully in the present.
Methodology: Through Body-Mind Centering®️, we will invite the mind to explore the body through visualizations, sensations, and a deep bodily connection. These sessions are designed to be transformative, using anatomy and physiology as a guide to expand our knowledge and presence within the body.
First Session: Embryology and Dance
In this first session, we will explore how dance can connect us with the roots of human development, from embryology to the present moment. Through Body-Mind Centering®️, we will delve into how the early stages of development influence our current movement patterns and bodily perception.
Second Session: Sympathetic and Parasympathetic Nervous Systems
This workshop will be dedicated to deepening our understanding of the nervous system, with a special focus on the parasympathetic system and the vagus nerve. We will discover how these anatomies influence our movement and life patterns and explore how to activate the body's natural regenerative capacity to soften and revitalize our dance practice.
Third Session: Regulation and Dysregulation of the Nervous System
In this final session, we will focus on the regulation and dysregulation of the nervous system. Through movement, we will investigate how to regain balance and stability when we feel out of sync, both physically and emotionally. We will use somatic tools and dance to recognize and transform dysregulation patterns.
Prices:
Contribution: €85 per weekend
