Laura Vilar - Management

Performer, creator, teacher and researcher in contemporary dance.

Doctor of Philosophy with a research in artistic research from the UAB, Higher Degree in Humanities from the UAB and Master's in Artistic Research and Design EINA and UAB.

Currently:

• Member of the teaching teams in some subjects of the Degree in Philosophy at the UAB

• Co-director of nunArt Creacions (Guinardó) since September 2019

• Professional Training Coordinator of the Barcelona Area school from 2017-2021

• Currently teaching in various fields at the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona.

• Collaborates with Compagnie Taffanel since 2003.

• MURAD master's theses tutor (master's in artistic research and design_EINA_UAB

• Gives workshops at national and international level.

Before:

She started dancing in Barcelona at the school Varium, where she received contemporary training. After some time at the UAB dance group, she began her professional career in companies such as:

• Trànsit, Hermanas de Castro, Salvatge cor, La Inconnexa, Lanònima Imperial, Dance Theatre of Ireland

• She has been working and collaborating with Compagnie Taffanel since 2003

• Dancer at Cobosmika Company (2006-2013), with whom she has toured internationally with Russell Maliphant Company

As a creator, she has presented projects such as:

• 'L’Espera', 'La ment en dansa', '[fi:l]', 'Quan es mostrà en el matí...', 'El viatge de Penélope', the talk 'Reflexions sobre la dansa', 'Uke-Nage', o 'Tatlin’s Tower', and as [vbuit] with Miquel Barcelona: 'You are so beautiful', 'Ocells', 'La vida era', 'El banquet' i 'Sanjiao'

• Director of the piece 'ZIP', with Les Impuixibles, Ariadna Peya and Clara Peya

• Artistic coordinator of the National Dance Production 2017-2018


She has been teaching both nationally and internationally at centers such as:

• Codarts Rotterdam Dance Academy, Saineb dance company Istanbul, Universitat Linz Anton Bruckner, Varium, Area, El Timbal, Eòlia, nunArt, among others

• Director of the training project Grup de Treball, with Ona Mestre and Quim Vilagram at nunArt
