PROJECTem is a platform promoted by nunArt with the aim of welcoming and supporting creation. This platform has three aspects: an accompanied collective creation, a cycle of presentations, and a series of workshops.

PROJECTem: accompanied creation

What is PROJECTem accompanied creation and what new features will there be this season?

PROJECTem is a proposal to accompany creation in a group format. The aim is to create a stable group of 8-10 performers who will be part of a creation process for 10-12 weeks.

This proposal is born from the desire to offer an inclusive space for meeting, growth and inspiration to the performers who are part of it. One of the main objectives is to offer the participants tools and learning that have to do with a professional projection in the performing arts through the practice and achievement of a creative project.

This season, we offer two different formats:

1) The sixth edition will be from October to December. The format will be group creation of a piece, in which the participants will be linked in a single shared creative process.

2) The seventh edition will be from February to May. The format will be accompanied creations, and each participant will develop, in an accompanied way, their own project. During the process we make sure that each person can experience the role they want: performer, choreographer, playwright, director, etc.

Gisela Creus and Triny Reinoso are coordinating and accompanying the creation.

-11:30 to 12:30 training with Gisela Creus

-12:30 to 2:30 p.m. creation with Gisela Creus and Triny Reinoso

In addition, there will be a professional invited to offer a creation session, and a formative talk about lights, dramaturgy, writing, etc. taught by an active professional.

Format:

4 or 5 simultaneous creations. Between 8 and 12 participants.

What is offered?

  • Enter into a creation process in a space like nunArt, with the status of a creation center.
  • The possibility of working, meeting and making friends with other dance professionals.
  • A serious and rigorous work dynamic, in a space that is both formative and has a professional approach.
  • Living the experience of enjoying an accompaniment and being part of a collective project.
  • A global experience of creating, managing and producing a piece, which will give tools to be able to do it independently in the future.

Selection of participants

We open calls in August and January, and the career and training are assessed, as well as the motivations and interests expressed in the motivation letter. It is not necessary to have completed professional training or to have previous professional experience, but to have a solid training at an advanced level in contemporary dance.

Likewise, the commitment and responsibility of each participant to the project and to the other people who will be part of it during the proposed 12 weeks, as well as attendance at all sessions, is essential.

Semi-scholarship contribution

nunArt Creations is committed to this project believing in the need to generate collective research processes.

For this reason, he grants a part of the entire project and proposes a contribution of €450 per person in total, to cover part of the space, the coordination of the show, the professionals who will be part of it and some of the expenses of the creation such as the costumes, the technical and the communication. If you have difficulties, ask us. On the other hand, there is the possibility of paying in installments, reaching an agreement.

Plus, a percentage of the box office of the exhibitions that will take place is for the participants, so that a part of this contribution is recovered.

PROJECTem: presentations

At nunArt we believe that being able to exhibit and share the works enriches and consolidates links, processes and strengthens the possibility of growing in different perspectives. Thus, another strong point of this platform is the presentation of the works, finished or in process, both from the group accompanying the creation, as well as other pieces that need visibility.
