PROJECTem is a platform promoted by nunArt with the aim of welcoming and supporting young creation. This platform has three aspects: an accompanied collective creation, a cycle of presentations, and a series of workshops.

PROJECTem: accompanied collective creation

It is a proposal to accompany a creation in group format. The objective is to create a stable group of between 8 and 10 performers who want to work on the creation and exhibition of a piece for 10-12 weeks.

This proposal is born from the desire to offer a space for meeting, growth and inspiration to the interpreters who are part of it. One of the main objectives is to offer participants tools and learning that have to do with a professional projection in performing arts through practice and the achievement of a creative project.

PROJECTem wants to increase the perspective of the possibilities of professional development and promote self-confidence for independent scenic creation through experience, as well as mutual support and collaboration between dance professionals, as it is a group project.

The meetings will be twice a week, with a total of 6 hours per week for 12 weeks, or 8 hours per week in 10 weeks, in sessions that will consist of a training part and a creative part. The decisions of scenery, costumes, music, production, tour management, etc. will be taken by the participants themselves, who will distribute the tasks to be carried out. For this reason, it is necessary that participants commit to being involved throughout the whole process. On the other hand, it must be counted that there will be approximately two hours a week of personal work, to do research or meetings with the group.

The coordination and support to the creation of the project will be carried out by Gisela Creus and Triny Reinoso. Gisela Creus executed a similar project for two years in the United States, Contemporary Dance Ensemble, where a total of 20 people participated and 3 pieces were created that were shown in different festivals and theaters in the city.

Also, Triny Reinoso will participate in the process in collaboration with Gisela Creus and will guide some sessions sporadically.

Who is it for?

To dancers, performers and creators of dance and movement with a solid background in contemporary dance who are encouraged to participate in a process of research and creation at a collective level.

The framework will be professional, and it is important to highlight individual responsibility within the group project. The sessions are regular and are divided into one hour of training and two hours of creation. For this reason, a commitment to participate in all sessions is requested.

What do we offer?

  • Entering into a creative process in a space such as nunArt, a creation center.

  • The possibility of working, meeting and collaborating with other dance professionals.

  • A serious and rigorous work dynamic, in a space that is formative while it has a professional approach.

  • Enjoy professional accompaniment and be part of a collective project.

  • A global experience of creation, management and production of a piece, which will provide tools to be able to do it independently in the future.

Selection of participants

The trajectory and training will be valued, as well as the motivations and interests expressed in the motivation letter. It is not necessary to have completed a professional training or to have previous professional experience, but it is required to have a solid advanced level training in contemporary dance.

Likewise, the commitment and responsibility of each participant with the project and with the rest of the people who will take part during the proposed 12 weeks, as well as attendance at all sessions, is essential.

Partial scholarship for the whole project

nunArt Creacions is committed to this project believing in the need to generate semi-professional and collective research processes.

For this reason, a part of the entire project will be awarded a grant and proposes a contribution of € 300 per person in total for the 12 weeks, to symbolically cover the space, the coordination of the show, the professionals who will be part and some of the expenses of the creation like the costumes, the technician and the communication.

PROJECTem: presentations

At nunArt we believe that being able to exhibit and share the works enriches and consolidates links, processes and strengthens the possibility of growing in different perspectives. Thus, another strong point of this platform is the presentation of the works, finished or in process, both from the group accompanying the creation, as well as other pieces that need visibility.
