Body-art encounters

Everyone who wants to explore with the body and dance, who wants to investigate creative tools that we can find in art, who likes to experience what opens up in the body through art... to whoever catches the attention of the proposal!

These sessions are a space to investigate and experiment with the body starting from imaginaries from the world of art, and thus also, discover this world from bodily experience and dance. How, through dance, the body and art we can vibrate, travel and create. What creative tools can we extract from works of art so that they can be reread, experienced from new perspectives? What approach does feeling it from the body give us to the work of art?

A space of curiosity, enjoyment, connection, inspiration and discovery. We will work mainly with improvisation, although maybe one day we will also tackle a choreographic phrase.

Berta Vilarrasa

I graduated in Art History at the University of Barcelona, and I have been training in contemporary dance in different spaces in Barcelona, always in constant research and learning and eager to investigate the expressive possibilities of the body. I live dance as a journey in the body and with the body, and a wonderful tool to inhabit it and inhabit us. I am currently looking for meeting spaces between these two areas that I am so passionate about, the history of art and the body. How they can be nourished by each other and how the former can be a source of inspiration for experiences in dance and movement.
